As of October 23, 2018, California State PTA changed insurance brokers to AIM Association Insurance Management Inc.

Insurance is handled by both a broker (policy services) and a carrier (policy that provides coverage and pays claims). There is no change to your current carrier coverage, limits or premiums; and there is no lapse in coverage. California State PTA provides Comprehensive General Liability coverage with a $1,000,000 limit that covers all unit, council and district PTAs in the state when involved in allowable PTA activities. Only the insurance broker has changed.

  • PTA’s insurance broker is now AIM Association Insurance Management Inc.
  • Insurance coverage, limits and premiums remain in effect – your unit and your members are covered by PTA insurance under the existing policy until January 5, 2019
    • Your PTA does not need a new Certificate of Insurance for the current policy term
  • Only the insurance broker has changed
  • AIM will handle all service needs including certificates, approved vendors lists, additional insured, coverage questions, questions about existing/open claims and more
  • Any new claims should be reported to AIM
  • Please continue to follow all guidelines and requirements in the existing Insurance and Loss Prevention Guide as the policies remain in place. California State PTA and AIM will be providing an updated guide soon for coverage beginning January 2019.
