Riverside Council PTA Awards & Carol Rude Scholarship Brunch

On the morning of April 5th, the Riverside Council PTA will be celebrating our amazing volunteers and units. We are really excited as this will be an IN PERSON event at the beautiful Loft 84. One of the other reasons we celebrate at this brunch is for the RUSD Seniors who apply and are awarded one of the Carol Rude Scholarships. (A scholarship that is awarded to high school seniors who apply and are chosen by RCPTA.)

One of the ways RCPTA raises money for the Carol Rude Scholarship is through the donation of raffle baskets. We will also provide an opportunity for individuals and businesses to donate directly to benefit the Carol Rude Scholarship fund. RCPTA awards as many scholarships as we can with the money raised.

RCPTA asks that each unit provide an item or basket to raffle off at the RCPTA Awards Brunch. The raffle item/ basket CANNOT be purchased with PTA funds. In years past, units have reached out to local businesses and asked for donations. We ask that each unit bring their raffle basket to the Awards brunch on April 5th. If you are not able to attend, or know you will be late, please contact council at rivcouncilpta@gmail.com to arrange a drop off of the basket. While at the Awards Brunch, you will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win one of the amazing baskets as well as support the Carol Rude Scholarship Fund.

Nominating Committees

Consider forming a Nominating Committee in early 2023 (January). The purpose of the Nominating Committee is to recognize and seek qualified nominees for the elected leadership of the PTA. Most units should be electing the Nominating Committee no later than January or February for the election of officers in March or early April.
